Okay, so it has been a long time since my last post but I have a really good excuse. I was for all intents and purposes camping. We moved back to Utah, into a short term rental, and took our time finding a place that would better suit us. We are now there, 1 acre in Draper near the border with Sandy 10 minutes to the bottom of the canyon and best of all at the end of a private dirt road. Boy bliss, big trees, tree swing and lots of freedom to ride and skate around. We done a few fun camping trips this summer. Rock hounding in the desert for geodes, down to Joes Valley for boating and camping and a great trip to Flaming Gorge. We spent the 4th of July boat camping and letting off our own fireworks. It was a reunion with the water for the boys. After being in Houston they had forgotten about unchlorinated water and waves and rocky bottomed beaches. Soren and Reidar loved the fact that we were at a shallow beach so they could just splash around all day. That said, I thought the water was quite cold but it didn't seem to bother them.

There was a lot of jumping in and out of the boat.
The best part was actually getting to tent camp. Thus, far the only tent camping the boys had done was in South Africa and that was a roof top tent sleeping with us. This time they had their own tent, and Brig would actually go into his backpack and dress himself in the mornings.

And of course the gorge was goregous.
